Also reports of hearing doors down stairs close when no one is down there.

PDP Investigators Present:
Teresa Ransom, Casey Broach, Roxanne Miles, Stephen Jeffords, Rick Dillinger, Lyndsey Strickland

Guest Investigators:
Brian Merrill, Crescent Moon Paranormal Studies, Charleston SC
Brian brought along some of his equipment to help with the investigation. He graciously allowed us the use of a Sony Hi8 Camcorder with infrared, a Sony Hard Drive Digital Camcorder with infrared, a Panasonic digital voice recorder, a handheld EMF detector, and a infrared thermometer. Because of this we were able to set up a camera and a digital voice recorder in the old kitchen/Dr's office.

Video and Audio from the Old Kitchen/Doctor's Office:
Brian's equipment picked up the following while everyone was on break at the front of the home.

HDD camcorder; approx. 11:40pm - hear what sounds like very low music for about 5 seconds (this is not heard on the audio recorder left on the mantle which was still running at this time)

Digital Voice Recorder; approx. 11:49pm - a low noise which could be movement or a whisper (it's a very hard call for me to make), but I personally lean towards movement because of the other movement noises going on around this clip, but this noise is made during a period of quiet (this is not heard on the video)

Also note: On both audio, off and on throughout - You can hear shuffling, banging, knocking, and crackling coming from inside the building. But judging by the animal droppings all over the place, it would be hard to determine between the movement of critters and the movement of something else. There is also a lot of noise contamination; the teams as they enter and leave the house, the porta-potty doors opening and closing, cars and trains passing by, etc.

Note: Someone forgot to correct the date on their camera after the batteries drained. Team A Sweeps

Sitdown:
Begin Time: 2:50 am Sunday morning 10-14-07
End Time: 3:30 am Sunday morning 10-14-07
Area: Room 14
Temp: 63 F
EVP: Several people reported hearing distant voices but they were not picked up on the audio. Also several reported hearing foot steps in various rooms. Those were not picked up on audio either.
Comments: Recorder sounded like something was covering the mic, everything was muffled. Should not have been this way. Recorder was laying on the mantle above our heads, nothing else was on the mantle.

Area: Old Kitchen/Doctor's Office
Temp: 60 F
Comments: Flashlight was almost dead again. Digital recorder had stopped recording. Removed equipment at 3:50 am.

Investigation Results:
1. Photo - 99 taken, nothing paranormal noted in any
2. Audio - approx 6 hours, 2 1/2 hours from the old kitchen/doctor's office had to be scrapped due to noise contamination from near by porta potties.
3. Video - One set up in Old Kitchen/Dr's Office and left running. Had problems with it turning off, batteries draining, and tape showing full when it shouldn't have been. Lyndsey, Steve, Rick, and Brian ran video during the investigation. All had problems with batteries dying to soon. No one picked anything up anything other then dust particles.
4. EMF - several spikes through out the night but nothing too high.
5. Temperture - Avg temp in home was 62 F. We only had one major drop, 15 degrees, in Room 14 @ 11:10. Several members reported feeling nauseous and dizzy. Removed two members from house during this time.
6. Old Kitchen/Dr's Office - see the section above titled "Video and Audio from the Old Kitchen/Doctor's Office"
7. Digital Audio Evidence - approx 6 hours of audio. Had to disregard 2 1/2 hours from the Dr's office due to contamination. Also had to throw out 1 1/4 hours from the first walk-though for the Baseline readings due to whispering going on between people observing the investigation. Out of the remaining hours we were able to pull out approx 30. We were then able to identify a few of them and remove them from the list.

EPV's:
1. You hear me say "we're going to check the doctor's office to make sure the camera's still running". Listen for the EVP saying "Doc.....tor" as I was saying "camera's still running". This was later debunked because it was proven to be Lyndsey's voice. ((14.0 sec -16.0 sec into recording))

2. While checking the doctor's office Brian says "we are down to ?" ((can't make out the last part, he turned away from the recorder as he was speaking)). You will then hear the EVP "goodbye" right before Brian says "hmmmmmmm". ((1 min 10 sec - 1 min 15 sec))

3. Male voice "was anyone to die" ((1 min 20 sec - 1 min 22 sec))

4. You can hear clicks and /or footsteps then a male voice says "how's it going". You then hear Tee say "OK his digital recorder is reading full. He says it shouldn't be" ((1 min 54 sec - 1 min 59 sec))

5. Female voice, but unable to understand her. You then hear Tee say "and the flashlight has died in here". ((missed the time on this one))

6. Male voice says "a beetle" then you hear a female saying "thank you, we needed a beetle" ((4 min 1 sec - 4 min 7 sec)) This was later debunked because it was proven to be people standing outside the Doctors office.

7. Female voice singing ((8 min 42 sec - 8 min 44 sec))

8. Female voice singing again, this time with music. ((8 min 51 sec - 8 min 53 sec))

9. Rick says "Did your other recorder quit" and I respond "uh hu" Then you will hear a female voice say "no" ((10 min 28 sec - 10 min 30 sec))

10. Andrea said "the UDC will have their meetings here" and you then will hear the word "yike". ((12 min 32 sec - 12 min 34 sec)) This was later debunked since a team member knew who said it.

11. Now this one is a bit odd to say the least. You will hear a team member saying "OK" right before we changed the recorders in the doctors office. It then picked up this odd moaning sound. ((12 min 46 sec - 12 min 49 sec))

12. While in Room 2 you hear Steve say "flash" You then hear this female voice say "flash". ((19 min 05 sec - 10 min 16 sec))

13. Picked this one up in Room 1 while getting the baseline readings and taking photos. Sounds like someone was not happy with us being there. ((21 min 19 sec - 21 min 25 sec))

14. We entered Room 8 and Tee called out over the walkie talkie "we're now in Room 8, base temp is 62" We then picked up this male voice. (( 33min 30sec - 33 min 37 sec))

15. Several people reported cold chills while in Room 13 but the temp stayed the same according to the IR Thermometer. Tee again invited anyone to speak to us if they wished to do so. You will hear a click and a female laugh...several seconds later she will say "leave". **note you can hear us walking around the room** ((46 min 33 sec - 46 min 46 sec))

16. In Room 14 Janet was getting cold chills again. Tee asked "can you tell us who you are" She then recieved the answer "no". ((50 min 22 sec - 50 min 40 sec))

17. As we were going through the small upstairs bathroom, Room 15, Tee asked that the team call out their readings as they passed through. She then picked up this male voice "you call ? (unsure of this word) and then "move it". ((52 min 02 sec - 52 min 08 sec))

18. In Room 16, we picked up this male voice "Get the Doc...painful". ((53 min 46 sec - 53 min 53 sec))

18b. After the above EVP of the male requesting a doctor, Steve reports feeling the need to hurry to do something. Keep in mind we can not hear the EVP's as they are happening. ((53 min 46 sec - 54 min 34 sec))

19. Tee asked "what are you trying to tell us in here" A male voice responded "get quite". Notice the clicks before and after he speaks. ((55 min 32 sec - 55 min 37sec))

20. Janet was picking up on something and said the word "for". A male voice then says "for the nation". ((56 min 08 sec - 56 min 13 sec))

21. We picked up this female voice saying "come away" and then "thank you". It is possible this was Janet. ((58 min 27 sec - 58 min 33 sec))

22. In Room 16 we picked up on a female crying. Lyndsey says her batteries are dying on her camera and Tee relays the message to Roxee via the walkies. You then hear the female crying again. A male voice then says "cry ? (unsure of this word)" Roxee then comes in over his voice and asks "who did?" ((1 hour 00 min 47 sec - 1 hr 00 min 30 sec))

23. A male voice says the name "Prudence". He then goes on to say something else but we can not make it out the last part. ((1 hr 05 min 06 sec - 1 hr 05 min 09 sec))

Team Member Sensations and Impressions:
Several team members sensed a male presence upstairs. Tee picked up on a young girl upstairs. Casey picked up on a not so friendly one downstairs. Of course these are just personal experiences and in no way proves anything.

Investigation Conclusions:
Althought Pee Dee Paranormal did obtain several electronic voice phenomena (evp's) at Red Doe Plantation, we were not able to obtain any photographic or video evidence of paranormal activity. However we did have numerous incidents of equipment failure, brand new batteries being drained, and several guests becoming physically sick and having to be removed from the home. These things can, at times, point towards paranormal activity.

When taking into the equation the long history of Red Doe, one would like to assume that it is indeed haunted with one or two friendly spirits from the past that have decide to stay and look over the old home place. However, at this time, we can not prove scientifically that Red Doe is indeed haunted.

We would like to continue to study Red Doe Plantation as an on going research project. Hopefully gathering edvience that may one day prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Red Doe does indeed have paranormal activity.
